Mileage
The second list within a job contains a complete list of all mileage entries that are associated with the job. The mileage entries are ordered chronologically (ascending or descending), and are grouped by the date.
While displaying this list, the summary information at the top of the screen, displays the total mileage of the combined mileage entries, as well as a summary of the total value of the mileage entries.
From this tab, the following tasks can be accomplished:
- Add new mileage entries
- Edit existing mileage entries
- Delete existing mileage entries
To add new mileage entries, press the “Add” button at the top of the list of mileage entries. Pressing this button will cause the Add/Edit mileage window to be displayed.
To edit an existing mileage entry, touch the mileage entry that is desired to be edited. Touching the mileage entry will cause the Add/Edit mileage window to be displayed.
Mileage Edit Form
The Add/Edit mileage window contains the following entry options:
- Start – This is a numeric field for capturing the start mileage amount. The difference between the start and end mileage amounts will equal the distance.
- End – This is a numeric field for capturing the end mileage amount. The difference between the start and end mileage amounts will equal the distance.
- Distance – This is a numeric field for capturing the total distance traveled for this mileage entry. The units of measure displayed next to the distance entry is determined by the setting, Unit of Measure.
- Date – When selected, the date field will bring up a Calendar widget for selecting the date that the mileage was driven.
- Tags – One or more tags can be typed into the tag field, comma separated, or picked from a list of tags. The tag field provides the ability to quickly attach a common descriptor to the mileage entry. For more details about managing tags, please see the Tag Management section of the document.
- Notes – The notes field allows additional information about the mileage to be captured.
Anytime the Start, End or Distance fields are modified, the remaining two values will be recalculated appropriately once focus is lost from the field.
