General Information
This application is an iOSⓇ application that was created for business men and women to ease the tracking of business related items such as expenses, mileage, time, and payments for jobs as well as trips. It has been tailored to allow easy entry of these items throughout the period of the job or trip. Once a job or trip is complete, the application allows the data to be viewed and exported as PDF reports. These reports can then be viewed on the device or emailed to whomever needs them.
The purpose of this document is to describe the functionality of your application so that all features can be put to use.
Throughout this document, a few terms will be used that a person should be familiar with:
Touch or Select - Most features within the application are activated by briefly touching the screen. For example, to add expense, mileage, time or payment entries to a Job on the main screen, one would “Touch” the job that they would like to work with. Items within the screen can also be touched or selected to activate functionality within the application. For example, one would “Touch” the “Add” button on the main screen of the application to add a new Job.
Left Swipe - When lists of data are present within the application, various options can be accessed by performing a “Left Swipe” on the row of data. On the main screen, a “Left Swipe” will give the user the option of Deleting a Job, Clearing a Job, or displaying a menu with additional options. Within the editor screens, “Left Swipe” is also used to allow entered values to be cleared, such as Tag fields.
Different actions are available from different screens within the application. When screen space is available at the top of the screen, some actions will display as icons, or single word action buttons. The following list summarizes all common actions that you might find throughout the application:
Add | This action is used throughout the application to create new items. For example, on the main screen of the application, this action initiates the creation of a new job.
Sort | This action is used to display available sorting options for the data displayed on the screen
Save | This action saves the data that was entered on the screen. The screen will close once the save occurs. Note: selecting the navigation back button, upper left of the screen, will result in unsaved changes being discarded.
Settings | This action brings up a large selection of options that can be used to tailor the application to work best for you, the user. More details about the options that are available can be found later within this document. |
